Pierre-Paul Riquet was a man for whom dream came true. He built one of the most beautiful ways of river communication of the world in a space of a lifetime. The show “Le Rêve de Riquet”or Riquet’s Dream tells the true story of the Canal du Midi and it is dedicated to the formidable epic of this genius builder.



In this show, Groupe OC offers a ballad in music, along the towpaths of the Canal du Midi, meeting people who allowed the navigators the connect from Atlantic to the Mediterranean sea. Musicians play in the purest style of the era with touches of modernity.OC goes back in time and accompanies their audience in their imaginary. Starting by the Montagne Noire, which feeds the canal with its waters, to the nine locks of Béziers, a formidable example of engineering, this land is full of legends and anecdotes to share.

Thanks to technical means used, embark for a pleasant cruise on the Canal du Midi where melodies, inspired by troubadours are declined on the air of electronic sounds of today. All the ingredients of an epic show are there : a horse, actors in costumes, documentaries ... A story to retrace the adventure of a man who had only for purpose the fulfillment of his dream.
